Software for eKnitter
Please note that eKnitter is currently compatible only with the Brother KH-910 knitting machine and works exclusively via Wi-Fi.
Before using eKnitter, make sure you have a Wi-Fi network available in your knitting area.
WebApp compatibility
If your eKnitter was purchased after December 29 and is running version 5.27 or higher, it already includes the new eKnitter WebApp built directly into the device.

External Power Supply for eKnitter
🔌 Who is the external power supply interesting for?
✅ For anyone who doesn’t want to use the original Brother power supply anymore.
✅ Especially useful if you have a Japanese machine (100V) and live in a 230V country — no need for a heavy step-down transformer!
✅ Also helpful if you have a European machine (230V) but live in the USA (110V) — you can skip the step-up transformer.
The external power supply used with the eKnitter can be found in the link below. If you decide to use a different one than the one we have tested, please ensure that it provides the deatils below:
- Voltage Requirement: Your power supply must output 12 volts DC (direct current) to ensure eKnitter operates smoothly.
- Amperage Capacity: Select a power supply that can deliver either 5 amps (A) or 3 amps (A). This ensures your eKnitter has enough power to function efficiently.
- Polarity: The power supply needs to have a center-positive polarity. This means the center pin of the DC plug is positive (+), and the outer sleeve is negative (−). Using a power supply with the wrong polarity can lead to damage, so it’s important to get this right. (In some countries, the center polarity might be negative, so it’s crucial to verify this before connecting).
- Plug Type: The power supply should come with a DC barrel plug that has a 5.5mm outer diameter and a 2.1mm inner diameter. This size is crucial for a secure and correct connection to your eKnitter.
- Local Power Compatibility: Make sure the power supply is compatible with the power outlets in your area. It should be capable of converting your local AC voltage (e.g., 220-240V in Europe, 120V in North America) into the 12V DC required by eKnitter.
