We’re a family of five with three energetic kids between 4 and 5 years old. Recently, we found ourselves with two hobbies that collided in the most unexpected way.
For quite some time, I got back into knitting but my knitting machine wasn’t working properly, so I reached out to my husband for help. He’s an embedded software engineer and loves using technology to make our home smarter and more sustainable.
After taking a look at my knitting machine, he decided to create a completely new mainboard for it, complete with Wi-Fi connectivity and a reliable needle selection mechanism for all carriages. It took a few months of testing on multiple machines, but we finally have a stable prototype that we’re really proud of!
