The Pattern
Pattern repeats: 4 (4.5, 5, 5.5, 6) times for size XS (S, M, L)
To fit bust: 76 (86, 96, 106) cm / 30 (34, 38, 42) inches
Gauge: 40 sts = 13 cm / 60 rows = 15,7 cm
Step 1: Back
Cast-On
- Cast on 101 sts using waste yarn.
- Knit a few rows.
Begin Main Yarn
- Set carriage to COL (Left Side).
- Using Main Yarn (M):
Short Row Shaping (Stripes)
Electronic Machines
Repeat the pattern 4 (4.5, 5, 5.5, 6) timesfor size XS (S, M, L)
Non electronic Machines
- Knit 4 rows over all needles.
At the right, bring 10 needles to hold. - Knit 2 rows.
- At the right, bring 10 more needles to hold (20 in total), knit 2 rows.
- At the right, knit 1 row over all needles.
- At the right, bring 30 needles to hold, knit 2 rows.
- At the right, take 20 needles back into work, knit 2 rows.
- Repeat short rows to create curved shaping and stripes, alternating colors Yellow and Blue as shown in the image.
Repeat these shaping steps until you reach RC160 (or 180, 200, 220) depending on size.
Step 2: Sleeves
Electronic Machines
Repeat the pattern 4 (or 5) times over the 51 stitches only. Keep the remaining stitches on hold or set them aside.
Non electronic Machines
- 51 sts for sleeve (other stitches out of work)
- Work in pattern until RC160 (or 200).
- Remove from machine.
Step 3: Front
For Front, repeat as for Back.
Step 4: Make-Up & Ribs
- Pick up Stitches:
- Back neck: Pick up 127 (141, 157, 171) sts evenly.
- Work 1×1 rib, T7, 40 rows.
- Cast off.
- Armholes: Pick up 101 sts evenly.
- Work 10 rows rib, cast off.
- Neck edge:
- Pick up 109 (115, 121, 127) sts along half of neck.
- Work 10 rows rib, cast off.
- Join other half of neck and repeat rib.
- Finishing:
- Match neck edges and graft rib.
- Undo waste yarn.
- Seam up sleeves and body sides.
