A modern upgrade. Made to fit.

eKnitter uses the machine’s existing mounting points. Installation is straightforward and fully reversible—no drilling is required.

Power supply: We recommend a modern external power supply, which is not included. The original internal power supply can also be used if it is still functional.
Watch the installation process.
Before you buy: eKnitter completely replaces the original electronics, so the original pattern memory is not required. Your machine must still be mechanically functional, especially its needle-selection mechanism and carriage movement.

Good to know.

Do I need DesignaKnit?

No. The eKnitter WebApp and 100 starter patterns are included. You can create, edit and transfer patterns from a Mac, Windows PC, tablet or phone. If you later want complete garment design and fully interactive knitting, the same eKnitter hardware is already ready to connect to DesignaKnit.

Will I need different hardware if I start using DesignaKnit later?

No. eKnitter already supports DesignaKnit 9.14.01 or later through Wi-Fi. You only need to purchase the DesignaKnit software—no additional transfer cable, adapter or eKnitter hardware upgrade is required.

Is eKnitter difficult to install?

Most users can install eKnitter with the step-by-step guide. If you get stuck, personal support is available through our live chat.

Can a machine-knitting beginner use it?

Yes. Begin with one of the included patterns, follow the quick-start guide and knit your first sample.

Does it support double bed, Jacquard and circular knitting?

Yes. Both single-bed and double-bed techniques are supported.

What happens if Wi-Fi or my computer disconnects?

The complete active pattern is stored on eKnitter before knitting begins, so you can continue without interruption.

Can I change rows at the machine?

Yes. The original button panel remains connected. Move up and down through the pattern or return to row one; each change is also shown in the WebApp.

Is eKnitter a DIY project?

No. It is a professionally assembled, CE and FCC tested hardware upgrade. The board, firmware, WebApp, instructions, updates and support come from one team.

The E-Knitter board has given my Brother 910 a completely new lease of life. Before installing it, there was no way to connect the machine to DAK, so I was limited to the machine's original capabilities. Now, I can connect DAK, opening up so many new creative possibilities that simply weren't available before.
It's incredible to see an older machine working so seamlessly with modern software. The setup has transformed the way I design and knit, making the whole process more efficient, enjoyable and inspiring. Instead of feeling like a vintage machine with limitations, my Brother 910 now feels like a modern knitting machine capable of so much more.
I'm genuinely delighted with the upgrade and can't recommend it highly enough. It's an amazing way to extend the life of these wonderful machines and unlock their full potential.

Geweldig dat jonge mensen zoiets uitvinden. Zo kunnen de geliefde brother breimachines nog vele jaren vooruit.
Het is even aanpassen maar dan gaat alles perfekt.

Am Ende funktioniert alles super.Die Einbauanleitungen und Videos sind noch etwas verwirrend. Mit DK9 klappt er auch hervorragend. Das die Webapp noch nicht vollendet ist merkt man schon,aber das ist für mich in Ordnung. Alles in allem eine tolle Sache. Wenn die Webapp weiter ausgebaut ist und vielleicht ein bisschen die Installationsinformationen überarbeitet würde ich auch 5 Smiley geben🤗

    It works great! No cables, automatic transfer. The installation was actually easier than expected.

    Jeanette was so patient and helpful as I worked through mechanical and power issues that had nothing to do with the eKnitter board.     Het product is super goed, de betaling was een beetje
    chaos want iedereen ( en vooral oudere😊) kennen en hebben geen paypal , maar dat werd vlug inorde gebracht , dus 👍👍👍

    Super, je peux enfin utiliser ma vieille KH910. Merci ! Facile à installer et à mettre en route. J’apprécie que le Eknitter remplace l’ancienne platine et surtout de ne pas avoir une machine avec des fils qui sortent. Mais je vais mettre une protection sous les trous que laisse l’absence de boutons à gauche car la poussière peut entrer trop facilement. C’est le seul défaut que je lui trouve. Je suis super contente d’avoir pu acheter le Eknitter.
